New Product Roundup – June 8th

We are back with another edition of our New Product Roundup – a weekly update on what is new in the catalogue at BC Robotics.

New Products
First up this week we have another version of our very popular illuminated power buttons. They are identical to the 9-24V version we released a few weeks back – but their backlight is compatible with 5-6V. These are available in the same 4 backlight colors: White, Green, Red, and Orange. Next up, we have a JST XH 2 pin header – these aren’t technically breadboard compatible – but they are close enough that they will fit. These are the mating connector for many of our small fans and the lock style solenoid. Finally, we have a large vibration motor. The motor runs with 3-6VDC and would work well for making a jumbo brushbot, basic force feedback systems, or even a small vibration table.

Product Of The Week – 50% Off!
Product of the Week is our DC Barrel Plug to 2-Pin Terminal Block Adapter. The connector fits any standard 5.5 x 2.1mm DC barrel jack and breaks it out to a labeled set of screw terminals. These are 50% Off until Friday at midnight – so don’t miss out!

16mm Panel Mount On/Off – 6V Red LED

These chrome-plated metal power buttons are rugged and look great! Simply drill a 16mm hole into any material up to 13mm / ~1/2″ thick and you can fit these in place. The button is IP65 rated and there's even a rubber gasket to keep water out of the enclosure. This button is a single pole / dual throw (SPDT) on/off switch with an independent LED circuit complete with resistor – just apply 5-6V and it will light up.

16mm Panel Mount On/Off – 6V Green LED

JST XH 2 Pin Header

JST connectors come in a variety of different sizes and pin configurations. This JST XH series header is designed to be soldered into a circuit board. This XH series connector has a pin pitch of 2.5mm instead of the standard 2.54 (so it isn’t technically breadboard pitch) but it will still work with any 2.54mm pitch footprints and with all perfboards and protoboards.

3-6V Large Vibration Motor

This large 3-6V Vibration motor is effectively a DC motor with an off center weight at the end of the motor shaft. When spun, the motor will vibrate. These are ideal for making large brushbots, basic force feedback systems, or even small vibration tables. The higher the voltage, the higher the vibration intensity. The motor draws approximately 0.45A at 6V and spins at 18000 RPM.
