Panel volt meters are an excellent way to monitor voltage without a multimeter. This three wire version of our popular gauges can be powered from a separate source from what it is monitoring. This allows the gauge to read right down to 0V without shutting off. Red and black are used to power the gauge, white is used to measure voltage. To connect this gauge simply hook the Red wire to a positive pole on an external power source, the Black wire to the ground pole of the external power source and the ground of the circuit you are monitoring, and the White wire to the point which you would like to measure voltage. We have attached a diagram, in this case the Yellow wire of the diagram is the same as the White wire on this gauge.
