1 Channel Relay Breakout – 12V
Need to drive high current or high voltage devices with a low voltage or low current signal? This large single 20A relay breakout board can handle it! This version of the board uses a 12V relay and can be triggered with logic signals from 3.3V to 12VDC – ideal for automotive, marine, and other systems that have 12VDC power.
The board features 2 oz. copper for improved high current performance and uses high quality North American sourced parts. Simply connect 12V power, Ground, and your trigger line to the 3 pin header and that’s it – no need for any additional components!
The relay has the Input, Normally Open, and Normally Closed contact broken out to a nice 5mm pitch screw terminal and each trace is separated by isolation routing. An indicator LEDs shows the status of the relay coil, when lit the coil is active. The Normally Open (NO) circuit is rated to a maximum of 20A for short periods of time. For continuous operation we recommend keeping this to 13.5A to stay within the limitations of the terminal block. The Normally Closed (NC) circuit is rated to a maximum of 10A due to the design of the relay.
The breakout board is sized to fit directly in a 1591 Small Enclosure. Perfect for making a clean, enclosed control box. Enclosure sold separately.
Please Note: While this board is capable of switching higher voltages, please exercise caution. If you are inexperienced or unsure about how to use this product safely we recommend looking at the IoT Power Relay, which has all of its high voltage circuitry fully enclosed.
