Wearables

While the term “Wearables” has been vastly taken over by fitness trackers and smart watches in the consumer market, in the maker world this term typically refers to a much wider branch of portable electronics; those simply designed to be worn or embedded in clothing. Wearable electronics projects often become a fusion between traditional sewing and electronics. The components range from specialized microcontrollers and sensors to conductive threads and e-textiles. Typical wearable projects can be interactive costumes and fashion, creative sensor feedback systems, or even temperature controlled clothing.
