New Website Feature: Tutorials

The expansion into tutorials on the website is something that has been on the books for quite a while. We have wanted to offer tutorials that have been created with the products we provide to ensure they work just as expected while reducing the risk of any magic blue smoke (Wikipedia).

We have started off with a couple of basic tutorials and will be expanding this greatly over the next few months. Each tutorial will provide clear instructions through photographs, diagrams, and example code to get your project up and running with minimal frustration!

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to comment on each tutorial or get in touch directly!

Tube Amp Workshop

Have you ever wanted to have your very own audio vacuum tube amplifier? Want to build your own? This Saturday Victor Kung from VKMusic will be at Makerspace Nanaimo to guide you through the process of building your own amplifier! Tube kits will be available for purchase at the Makerspace.

In addition to a guided build of the kits, there will also be a number of presentations on everything from amplifiers to speaker cabinets. For more information check out the Makerspace Nanaimo website!

A Step In Another Direction

This week we rolled out a new group of products a little different from what we normally carry… 3D Printing Filament! We have been searching for a high quality filament at a reasonable price for the past few months and are happy to say – we have found it! This premium grade 1.75mm PLA will not disappoint – it is made from virgin PLA and has been tested with a wide variety of 3D printers for compatibility. Best of all, these 1KG spools still qualify for our standard flat rate shipping! For more information check out the new 3D Printing category in the shop – we will be expanding this over the coming months – so stay tuned!
