Raspberry Pi 6th Birthday Jam

The Raspberry Pi 6th birthday is coming and this year we are celebrating with a Raspberry Pi Jam, hosted here, at BC Robotics! So what is a Pi Jam? It is a chance to learn about the Raspberry Pi, try one out, find out about cool accessories, and talk to an expert – Tim Rowledge! The event starts at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 3rd and runs to 1:00 PM at BC Robotics. There is no cost for this event – so drop by and celebrate all things Raspberry Pi!

March 3rd Raspberry Pi Camera Software/Project Workshop

This new workshop will get your camera installed and configured ready to use with the provided Raspbian software and libraries. We will look into the various software capabilities provided – exposure control, special effects, timed photos etc – for both stills and video. Using only the Pi & camera module you can do many interesting photo projects but adding a button or two to the GPIO connector allows even more fun – so we will look at controlling the camera from the GPIO as well!

This Raspberry Pi workshop is hosted at BC Robotics in our Nanaimo location and runs from 2:00PM to approximately 4:00PM on March 3th. Seating is limited! For more information and to register online – click here!
