Welcome to a Pi Day edition of the New Product Roundup! This week we have five new products to share and special Pi Day pricing on some of the Pi accessories made here at BC Robotics. Let’s jump in and take a closer look!

New Products This Week

IR Analog Distance Sensor (10-80cm)

Measuring distance with a microcontroller is one of those tasks that can be accomplished a number of ways. These IR Distance Sensors are probably one of the easiest ways to get it done! This Sharp distance sensor uses infrared light to detect distances between 10 and 80cm away. The output is an analog signal ranging from approximately 2.3VDC at 10cm to 0.4VDC at 80cm. Simply connect this sensor's output to a 5V compatible analog input on your microcontroller... [Read More]

1″ Caster Wheel

This 1” Caster Wheel is the same large swivelling wheel you find on many of our two wheel drive robots. This caster has four mounting holes, a 25.4mm diameter hard plastic wheel, and a ball bearing swivel. . ... [Read More]

DC Motor Speed Controller – 10A

This motor speed controller is a simple way to control the speed of a DC motor. The controller can provide a 0 – 100% duty cycle output to a motor. Simply place this controller between your motor and your DC power source and it will vary the output according to the potentiometer position on the front. The controller can handle motors with up to 10A continuous draw and voltages between 12 and 40VDC.... [Read More]

550 DC Motor Bracket

Large DC motors with round casings can be tricky to mount in place - thankfully for our large motors we have a metal mounting brackets. This 3mm thick 90 degree formed bracket has precisely machined mounting holes to match the mounting hub and M3 mounting holes found on our 545 DC Motor and 550 DC Motor. These can also be used with all other 5 Series motors (555, 540, etc) with a 13mm hub. There are four 3.5mm holes in the base of the bracket allowing for it to be easily mounted... [Read More]

6-12V DC Hobby Motor – 365

This “365” motor is designed for 6-12V DC. At 6V the shaft speed is around 2000 RPM while at 12V it is around 5000 RPM, so for most applications, a gearbox or reduction pulley system would be desired. The motor measures 27.75mm in diameter and 38mm long excluding the output shaft, which extends a further 12.0mm and measures 2.3mm in diameter. To keep it in place, two M2.5 mounting holes are located on the front of motor. Large Solder tabs on the back allow wire to be firmly attached... [Read More]
