It is Saturday, and that means we are back with another weekly edition of our New Product Roundup! This week we have 5 new products and a new product of the week at 20% Off to share. Let’s jump in and take a look!
This breakout board is built around the MTK3339 chipset, a high-quality GPS module that can track up to 22 satellites on 66 channels. The MTK3339 chip has an excellent high-sensitivity receiver, a built in antenna, and can handle up to 10 location updates a second. There is an optional CR1220 battery holder included as well; this can be soldered on to the back of the board to keep the Real Time Clock running and allow for warm starts (faster fixes). No battery is included.
The LED blinks at about 1Hz while it's searching for satellites and blinks once every 15 seconds when a fix is found to conserve power... [Read More]
This straight bar load cell (sometimes called a strain gauge) can translate up to 20kg of pressure (force) into an electrical signal. Each load cell is able to measure the electrical resistance that changes in response to, and proportional of, the strain (e.g. pressure or force) applied to the bar. With this gauge you will be able to tell just how heavy an object is, if an object’s weight changes over time, or if you simply need to sense the presence of an object by measuring strain or load applied to a surface.
Each straight bar load cell is made from an aluminum-alloy and is capable of reading a capacity of 20kg... [Read More]
The OV7670 image sensor is a simple VGA camera and image processor for use with microcontrollers such as the Arduino. The camera supports a max resolution of 640 x 480 and maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second. Users have complete control over image quality, data format, and transmission. All image processing functions including gamma curve, white balance, saturation, and chrominance, can be programmed via the SCCB interface... [Read More]
This N20 gearmotor is a miniature DC motor with integrated gearbox. The gearbox allows a much lower output shaft speed and greater torque from this tiny motor. We carry several versions of this motor with different output shaft speeds and input voltages. This specific model is 6V and approximately 30 RPM.
The output is a 3mm diameter flatted shaft and is compatible with our 43mm Wheel as well as any 3mm shaft couplers and adapter hubs... [Read More]
This 2 wire JST-XH Cable with Female Connector is the perfect companion for our JST XH 2 Pin Header. These two work together to make an easy polarity protected connection to a circuit board from an external power source or two wire device. The wires are 28AWG and measure approximately 250mm with a 300V rating.

Sending An Email With Attached Photo Using Python And The Raspberry Pi
We have already covered using a Raspberry Pi and Python to send an email containing basic text – but what if you wanted to attach a picture instead? In this tutorial we are going to adapt our code from our basic email tutorial to allow picture attachments to be sent. Interested? Head on over to the tutorial!
