New Product Roundup – September 28th
We are back with another new product Roundup for Saturday September 28th! This week we have three new products (two of them being our very own designs), a new tutorial, and a new product of the week at 40% Off to share. Along with the usual stuff, we have a new format for our weekly New Product Roundup post that we are just putting the final touches on – so look for that next Saturday!
New Products
First off this week we have another type of Rocker Switch. This switch is a Single Pole Dual Throw (SPDT) with a center “OFF”. The switch is rated to 10A/125V 6A/250V – ideal for controlling things like 2 speed fans / high and low brightness lights, etc. Next up we have another large “breadboard style” proto board (perfboard with interconnected rails and rows like a solderless breadboard). This board is twice the size of our 100mm x 50mm board, measuring 100mm square. And finally, we have new HAT for the Raspberry Pi. Our Power + Fan HAT is designed to power your Raspberry Pi from a 7-16VDC power source just like our Power HAT, but includes a 40mm fan to help keep the Pi cool under heavy loads.
Product Of The Week – 40% Off!
Product of the Week is our 1591L Proto Board. When prototyping on a breadboard, it is nice to be able to port it to something a little more solid once the bugs are worked out. These small perfboards are specifically designed to fit our Small Enclosure – 1591LFLBK – 40% Off until Friday at midnight – so don’t miss out!
Round Rocker Switch – SPDTThis round rocker switch is a single pole dual throw (SPDT) switch with a center “OFF” position. The switch can handle up to 10A at 125V and 6A at 250V. The switch mounts in a 21mm or 13/16” hole and has two tabs to help hold it in place. The center pin is the common pin, with each side being one of the switched outputs. |

100 x 100mm Proto BoardThis large perfboard measures 100 x 100mm and features 4 mounting holes in each corner. This perfboard has interconnected rails and rows just like a solderless breadboard, saving quite a bit of wiring over a standard perfboard. There are 11 horizontal power rails; each set of full length rails is separated by vertical rows of interconnected pins. This familiar format makes for an easy transfer of a prototype circuit on a breadboard to a much more permanent shield. |

Raspberry Pi Power + Fan HATThe Raspberry Pi Power / Fan HAT is a combination of two of our most popular Raspberry Pi add-ons. This board is based on the same beefy 3A 5V DC/DC converter found on our Power and Power RTC HAT and features the same 40mm fan used on our Fan HAT. Combined, this will comfortably power your Pi from 7-16V while keeping it cool under heavy load. |

New Tutorial!
Getting Started With The ultrasonic:bit For BBC micro:bit
The ultrasonic:bit takes all of the complicated wiring out of using an ultrasonic distance sensor with the micro:bit. In this tutorial we look at how to set one up with the BBC micro:bit and measure distance. Interested? Head on over to the tutorial!
