New Product Roundup – March 2nd

Happy Saturday – we are back with another weekly New Product Roundup! This week we have a bunch of small, useful, items newly added to the catalogue and an incredibly useful Product Of the Week. Let’s get to it:

New Products
Starting off, we have another small rocker switch. This one features a red face and is much more attention grabbing than black. Sticking with switches, we also have a new Lever Limit Switch. This limit switch differs as it has a small roller on the end of the trigger arm. Next up, we added a 9x9mm Heatsink with a nice anodized blue finish, and a two pack of heatsinks ideal for the Raspberry Pi 3B+. Finally, we now have a brass version of the M3 Hardware Kit .

Product Of The Week
Product of the week is our Large Solderless Breadboard. These high quality solderless breadboards are a must for anyone prototyping electronics. 15% Off until Friday at Midnight!

Small On/Off Rocker Switch – Red

This incredibly small rocker switch measures just 14.9 x 10.5mm and 19.75mm deep. The switch is rated to 3A at 250VAC and 6A at 125VAC. Wiring these switches is easy; there are two contacts in this Single Pole, Single Throw (SPST) switch, meaning it works as a simple On / Off.

9 x 9 mm Heatsink – Blue

Any high power motor driver, linear voltage regulator, or other SOC will get hot when pushed to its limits – a heatsink will help dissipate heat and keep things running cool. These 9 x 9mm heatsinks stand 12.2mm tall and include adhesive thermal tape on the back. This tape will help keep the heatsink in place and improve the transfer of heat from the chip to the aluminum of the heatsink.

Medium Lever Limit Switch with Roller

Limit switches work great on anything from end stops on CNC machines to impact detectors on small roaming robots. This specific version has a small roller wheel on the end of the lever, making for less drag on objects moving past and triggering the switch. Connections are 4.7mm / 0.187″ Quick Connectors, and as with most switches of this type, both the Normally Open and Normally Closed circuits are available. Mounting holes are found at a fairly standard spacing for switches of this size.

M3 Hardware Kit

This M3 Standoff Kit includes 120 Brass nuts, screws, and standoffs. Standoffs are used to mount circuit boards and other parts inside of enclosures or on mounting plates. These are designed to space the board away from anything that may cause it to short, or allow stacking of several boards.

Raspberry Pi Heatsink Kit – 2 Pieces

This two piece heatsink kit can be used with the Raspberry Pi 3B+ or other ICs to help keep them cool. The Anodized Blue heatsink measures 9 x 9mm and stands 12.2mm tall. The copper colored heatsink measures 13 x 12mm and 5.2mm tall. Both heatsinks include adhesive thermal tape on the back to help keep them in place.

New Tutorial!

Getting Started With Blynk On The Raspberry Pi 3+
Blynk is a powerful Internet of Things (IoT) app for iOS and Android that allows you to control your Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or ESP8266 from your mobile phone. In this tutorial we are going to look at the basics of setting up Blynk for the Raspberry Pi. Unlike the Arduino platform, setting it up on the Raspberry Pi is a little more involved so we have made this handy tutorial to get you up and running in no time. Interested? Head on over to the tutorial!
