New Product Roundup – February 16th

Welcome back to a holiday weekend edition of our New Product Roundup! This week we added several new products to go over, but first a quick reminder: We are closed today through Monday for the holiday weekend. The showroom will re-open with normal hours on Tuesday, February 19th.

New Products
This week we had a few different items; we added 1 and 3 pin variations of the black Dupont connector shrouds. We now also carry 10 packs of those always needed 2 pin jumper pins found on everything from breakout boards to old hard drives and mother boards. In the robotics section we added another economical NEMA17 stepper motor rated at 31oz.in. And for those building night vision cameras, a bright 1 Watt infrared spotlight. Finally, we have a product back from the dead: our Panel Mount USB Cable (B Male – B Female). It is now shipping in from a different supplier.

3 Pin Dupont Connector

Whether you are modifying our 3” / 6” / 12” x 40 prototyping wires or building your own cables using the crimp on connections, these plastic housings are a must! These 3 pin housings fit the standard “Dupont” male and female pins. Simply remove the single pin housings and slide them into this larger connector.

1 Pin Dupont Connector

These replacement Dupont connector shrouds are the same ones found on all of our 3” / 6” / 12” x 40 prototyping wires. These 1 pin housings fit the standard “Dupont” male and female pins.

2.54mm Jumper – 10 Pack

Jumper pins are one of those things that come in handy when working with older computer components, new breakout boards, or prototyping new circuits. These simple 2 pin bridges short two pins together making an easily removable connection. They have a pitch of 2.54mm / 0.100″ and fit any male breadboard friendly headers.

Stepper Motor – NEMA17 – 31oz.in

Stepper motors are great motors for position control. This specific NEMA 17 Stepper Motor offers 31 oz.in of torque and 200 steps per revolution. Additionally, the motor has a handy JST connector, meaning the included 1000mm wires can be disconnected directly from the motor.

Infrared Spotlight

Need to help your Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera see in the dark? This Infrared LED spotlight will do the job! They work in the 850nm range – outside the range of human vision, but well within that of the Raspberry Pi NoIR. These are an excellent addition to wildlife, security, or other night vision projects. They can also be used for other projects where bright infrared light sources are required.

Panel Mount USB Cable (B Male – B Female)

Need to program that Arduino while it is in an enclosure? This panel mount USB B Female to USB B Male is the perfect cable for the job! The jack half has two mounting points with M3 tapped holes spaced 1.1″ / 29mm apart and can be used with panels up to 0.125″ / 3mm thick. The cable itself is 13″ long with 24AWG power wires and 28AWG data wires inside.
