New Product Roundup – July 9th to July 21th

Welcome back to another edition of our New Product Roundup – the weekly update we provide summarizing what is new at BC Robotics! Before we get into the new products for the week, yesterday night we made some minor changes to the website. If anything is looking a bit weird we suggest clearing your browser cache – if that doesn’t seem to fix it, we would love to hear about it.

These changes are a step towards an improved mobile experience on the website, specifically on the product pages. Mobile users will notice extra information, that was clipped in the past, is now available on each product page. There will be another update in the near future to address some of the mobile formatting and organization. All users will notice we have also fixed an issue that caused the scrollable product photo gallery to stop working. Any feedback? Please feel free to let us know.

Now, on with the new stuff! This week we have a few new additions, including a colorful gear and pully assortment, another type of ceramic screwdriver, and a new M2.5 Hardware Kit. Let’s jump in and take a closer look at each!

Ceramic Screwdriver – Flat 2.4mm YR-034E

Ceramic screwdrivers are extremely useful to have around the workbench. These are specifically designed for tuning and adjusting electrically sensitive equipment as they are anti-static, non-conductive, and anti-magnetic. This specific size is a Flat 2.4mm – we use these for adjusting tiny multi-turn trim pots.

Assorted Plastic Gear Set – 55 Pcs

This motor accessory pack includes a variety of smaller gears with different shaft mounting types, pullies and elastics to create elaborate pully systems and wind-up drives. These can then be used to drive the included propellers to create all sorts of interesting projects!

M2.5 Hardware Kit

This M2.5 Standoff Kit includes 120 Brass nuts, screws, and standoffs. 10 x Male/Female and 10 x Female/Female standoff are included in each size. The Male end of the Male/Female has 6mm of threaded shaft. Both the Male/Female and Female/Female between board heights range from 6mm and 20mm.

Upcoming Workshops

With the nice weather out there, our scheduled workshops will be taking a break over the summer! Do you have a group or want to schedule a private session? These are still available for booking, please contact us for more information!
