New Product Roundup – May 13th to May 19th

Hello everyone and thank you for joining us for this holiday weekend edition of our Saturday New Product Roundup. This week we have four new products to showcase and a sure to be popular product of the week. New to the shop: we have a powerful 12-24VDC motor, a tiny 3-6VDC motor, a new 75 piece assorted gear and pulley set, and a handy combined current / volt meter. Our Product of the week is the Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera v2 – 15% Off until Friday at Midnight! Seen enough? Let’s jump in and take a better look!

12-24VDC Double Ball Bearing Motor

This is by far the most powerful motor we carry. It is designed for 12-24V DC applications and will need a hefty motor driver. At 12V the no load shaft speed is around 7000 RPM and the current draw is approximately 1.6A. The stall current is ~40A and the stall torque is in excess of 125oz-in.

Panel Mount Current/Volt Meter Gauge – 10A/30V

Do you need to keep tabs on the current draw of your project? How about the voltage? This 2 in 1 Current and Volt gauge can measure between 0.01 and 9.99A with an accuracy of +/-4% and Voltage between 0-30VDC. Tiny trim potentiometers on the back of this gauge also allow it to be adjusted.

Assorted Plastic Gear Set – 75 Pcs

Gears are incredibly useful – they can be used to create custom gearboxes to transfer motion, change output shaft speed, increase torque, and any number of other gear like functions. Different types of gears have different purposes and this kit has a great assortment of regular gears, crown gears, worm gears, linear gears, double reduction gears, and even a few pulleys to experiment and create with.

3-6VDC Hobby Motor

This simple DC motor is low cost and ideal for experimenting. The motor is designed to run with a DC voltage between 3 and 6VDC. The shaft diameter is 2mm and it is compatible with many of the gears in our 75pcs assorted gear set. There are two solder tabs, large enough to connect this motor with alligator clips if soldering isn’t an option.
