We have also included information about our Product of The Week – for those unaware, every week we pick a different product to showcase at a special 15% off discount. This special pricing applies from Saturday to the following Friday.

Alright – so what is new this week? We have a new version of the SparkFun designed Arduino Pro Mini in a 3.3V 8MHz configuration, a high current 3 pin connector, and a 4 pin chassis mount connector. This week our Product of the Week is a 5V gear reduced stepper motor. Lets jump in and have a closer look at each!

4 Pin Chassis Connector – Panel Mount (M/F)

This 4 pin connector set is perfect for providing a secure, strong, connection between a fixed object and a cable. The panel-mount side of this connector is designed to fit in a 15.5mm diameter hole and should work with materials up to 4mm thick. The cable-mount side of this connector has a built in strain relief clamp and a ring that threads on to the panel-mount side of the connector to prevent it from pulling off.

MT60 3 Wire Connector Set

The MT60 is a three pin connector normally used for connecting high current brushless motors to electronic speed controllers in RC planes, helicopters, and other applications. The connector features 3 x 3.5mm bullet connectors and is keyed to ensure correct insertion. The solder lugs can accept up to 12AWG wire and each side has a nice sheath to cover the connections once completed.

MT60 3 Wire Connector Set

It’s blue! It’s thin! It’s the Arduino Pro Mini! SparkFun’s minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 3.3V Arduino running the 8MHz bootloader. Arduino Pro Mini does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation you need. The Arduino Pro series is meant for users that understand the limitations of system voltage (3.3V), lack of connectors, and USB off board.
