New Product Roundup – December 17th to January 6th

Everything is getting – sort of – back to normal after the holidays and that means back to our regular scheduled posts! There haven’t been too many new products added over the past few weeks so we have condensed them into a single New Product Roundup to catch up. Lets jump in and have a closer look at what has been added over the holidays!

micro:bit Go Bundle

The BBC micro:bit Go Bundle is a basic starter kit for the very popular BBC micro:bit. This kit includes the standard BBC micro:bit, a short USB cable to connect it to your computer, a battery holder with the correct connector on the end, and even the batteries themselves!

Adafruit Feather M0 Bluefruit LE

The Adafruit Feather M0 Bluefruit LE is Adafruit’s take on an all in one Arduino compatible microcontroller with built in Bluetooth LE and built in battery charging. Basically, think of this as an Adafruit Feather M0 with a fancy Bluetooth LE module. At the Feather M0’s heart is an ATSAMD21G18 ARM Cortex M0 processor, clocked at 48 MHz and at 3.3V logic. This chip has a whopping 256K of FLASH (8x more than the Atmega328 or 32u4) and 32K of RAM (16x as much)! This chip comes with built in USB so it has USB-to-Serial program & debug capability built in with no need for an FTDI-like chip.

DiMeCard 8 microSD Card Holder

Keeping track of all your microSD cards can be a challenge! The cards are small, easily lost, and it can be very tricky to keep track of what is actually on the card! This unique little holder from Adafruit Industries solves all of these problems! This sleeve holds up to 8 microSD Cards and uses a spring clip to hold each card in place. To keep track of what is on each card, the sleeve has 8 spaces to write a quick note on what is stored on each card.
