Happy Saturday! We are back with our regular dose of new products for the week. We have a new wearable coin cell battery holder, a new type of solderless HAT connector for the Raspberry Pi, a new 2 pin housing for the Dupont style connectors, an updated Pololu 5V 2.5A buck regulator, and an awesome Pan and Tilt Kit. Let’s go have a closer look at each!

LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder – Switched – 20mm

Constantly having to pull batteries out of your project to shut it off doesn’t really make sense – but having a battery holder with an On/Off switch built right in certainly does! This LilyPad Coin Cell Battery Holder has a small slide switch installed on the board, in-line with the power so you can shut off your project and save batteries.

2 Pin Dupont Connector

Our 3” x 40 wire and 6” x 40 prototyping wires are really useful – but sometimes a bunch of individual pins can be a bit annoying to keep in the right order. We now have a solution! These 2 pin housings fit the standard “Dupont” male and female pins. Simply remove the single pin housings and slide them into this larger connector.

Hammer Header Female – Solderless Raspberry Pi Connector

Do you hate soldering? Maybe you haven’t had a chance? Or don’t have the equipment? Well in the world of Raspberry Pi most HATs and add-on boards do not ship with headers attached so this presents a problem… until now! Hammer Headers are headers that can be set in place with a few taps of a hammer, rather than solder. The expanded pins will compress into each hole, making electrical contact. This specific model has 2 rows of 20 pins and works with most Raspberry Pi HATs and add-on boards.

5V 2.5A Step-Down Regulator

This popular 5V Switching Regulator has been revised! We now have the newest version in stock of this small synchronous switching step-down (or buck) regulator. The regulator takes an input voltage of up to 38 V and efficiently reduces it to 5 V. Great for powering the Raspberry Pi from higher voltage batteries!

Pan/Tilt Bracket Kit

Pan and tilt assemblies allow cameras and other devices to be aimed with relative ease. This specific Pan and tilt kit includes two servos and all of the hardware required to build a basic movable platform for mounting cameras, sensors, and other devices. The platform can rotate ~180 degrees and tilt across ~ 180 degrees meaning a it can scan a fairly large area! Assembly is easy and only requires a screwdriver.
