New Product Roundup – May 28th to June 3rd

We are back with another Saturday New Product Roundup! This week is a shorter update with just a few new products including several new basic LEDs, a new Pre-wired LED, and a new Teensy microcontroller. Lets go have a closer look!

3mm White LED – Basic

This week we have brought in a lower cost option for 3mm LEDs – these are available in Blue, Green, Yellow, Red, and White. These LEDs are not too bright, and ideal for prototyping or experimenting on a breadboard.

Teensy 3.2

The Teensy is a breadboard-friendly development board with loads of features in a, well, teensy package. You can program for the Teensy in your favorite program editor using C or you can install the Teensyduino add-on for the Arduino IDE and write Arduino sketches for Teensy. The Teensy features a 32 bit processor, 34 Digital I/O pins, 3 UARTs, SPI, I2C, CAN Bus, multiple channels of Direct Memory Access, several high-resolution ADCs, and even an I2S digital audio interface! All of this functionality is jammed into a 1.4 x 0.7 inch board so it should fit just about anywhere.

2mm Flat Top Warm White LED – Prewired

These warm white 2mm “Flat Top” LEDs have a very unique shape – the long barrel means they can be fit into a variety of different applications where a standard LED will not fit. This specific version has wires soldered to each leg and a built in 1K ohm current limiting resistor, making these easy to wire into any model boat, train, plane, car, spaceship or whatever else you may want to add tiny lights to.
