New Product Roundup – February 26th to March 4th

Just a short update for our New Product Roundup. This week we have a couple Internet of Things (IoT) products… one of which is now responsible for an all time record for 24 hour website traffic!

Adafruit HUZZAH ESP8266 Breakout

The newest version of the Adafruit HUZZAH is here! This board features the same ESP8266 80MHz microcontroller and all of the accessories on board to make it as easy to work with, but now has an updated voltage regulator and is CE and FCC certified.

Raspberry Pi Zero W

The Pi Zero W is the “connected version” of its cheaper brother, the Pi Zero v1.3. This version of the Raspberry Pi Zero has the same single core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, 2 USB micro ports (1 for USB, 1 for power), a micro HDMI for video output, and an unpopulated 40 pin GPIO compatible with all HATs. What sets this board apart from the Zero 1.3 is the addition of integrated Wifi and Bluetooth LE.

Those familiar with the previous versions of the Zero know it was incredibly hard to get – this version of the Zero should also solve the problem with approximately 25000 units a week being manufactured. Ordering in quantities greater than “1” should also be possible down the road!
