New Product Roundup – February 12th to February 18th
Once again we have circled back to that wonderful day called Saturday – and that means we are back with another Saturday New Product Roundup! Just a few products to go through this week – so let’s have a look!
Inductive Proximity SensorInductive proximity sensors are a great way to precisely detect when a metal object is at a given distance. Since this is a non-contact sensor, it is ideally suited to situations where dust, dirt, or liquids may be present. This specific sensor triggers when the sensor tip is 2mm away and features an LED that also illuminates when the sensor is tripped. Mounting this sensor is quite easy – it has a long threaded body allowing for a considerable adjustment.

Momentary Button – Blue LEDThese chrome-plated metal buttons are rugged and look great! On the front of the button is a flat metal actuator, surrounded by a blue plastic LED ring. On the back there are 3 contacts for the button (common, normally-open and normally-closed) and 2 for the red LED ring (+ and -). Connect 3 to 6V to the LED to have it light up nicely, there's a built in resistor! This button has a momentary push action; when you press it the 'normally-open' contact shorts to the common contact. When you release the button, it springs open, and the contacts open up again.
