New Product Roundup – November 6th to November 12th

Welcome to another Saturday New Product Roundup! Before we get started: Do you want to suggest a product we should carry? Send us a message, email, write a comment, or maybe even send a smoke signal (just not by frying a component by accident!) – we would love to hear from you. We cannot guarantee it will be added, but we do value your feedback as we continue to grow the catalogue.

Alright, let’s jump to it: We don’t have too many new products added due to the shortened week, but at least they are quite varied!

Lithium Polymer Battery – 40mAh

Sometimes you just need a tiny battery – and this is about as small as it gets! This 40mAh battery is just 22 x 12mm so it will fit in just about any small project. We like this just because, despite it’s small size, it still retains the standard JST connector so it can be easily connected to a project.

USB Digital Multimeter – Auto-Ranging

We didn’t really have a nice “higher end” multimeter in the catalogue and we have been asked quite a few times for something that is good quality, feature rich, and doesn’t break the bank. This SparkFun branded multimeter is auto ranging, includes a temperature probe, and even has USB connectivity. We have tried it out and it will definitely fit the bill if you want something that is good quality and going to last.

DS1307 RTC Assembled Breakout Board

We have new RTC breakout board in stock from Adafruit Industries. This is very similar to the DS1307 Kit that we carry; the technical specifications are the same but it uses the SMD version of the DS1307 chipset and ships assembled. A good choice if you don’t feel like soldering all the components together (or if you need the smaller form factor).

10K Trim Pot

And finally, a small breadboard potentiometer. These 10K breadboard friendly pots are the exact same ones seen in various Adafruit kits. They have a nice big knob so they are easy to turn and pins long enough to easily fit in any solderless breadboard.
