New Product Roundup – June 18th to June 24th

Happy Saturday – time for our weekly New Product Roundup! This week we have just a few items to go through: A right angle 2×20 pin stacking header and two different types of adjustable 8mm bearing for our 8mm lead screws. Let’s go have a look.

2 x 20 Right Angle Header

This 2×20 pin header is breadboard pitch (0.100″/2.54mm) and is great for making a connection between boards that need to be removable. This specific version has two rows of 20 pins and will work with the GPIO headers found on the Raspberry Pi A+, Pi B+, Pi 2, Pi 3, and all versions of the Raspberry Pi Zero. Unlike standard Pi GPIO headers, this features a 90 degree right angle in the pins for the odd situation where a board needs to be mounted perpendicular to the Pi!

KFL08 Pillow Block Bearing

These KFL08 Pillow Block Bearings are a roller bearing inside an easily mountable bracket. These bearings are compatible with our Lead Screws but could also be used with just about anything else with an 8mm diameter that needs to spin. Two set screws (included) clamp down on the lead screw while two 5mm mounting holes (37mm center to center) hold the bearing in place. If these are being used in a situation where the machine isn’t square, the bearing angle can be adjusted in relation to the mounting block.

KP08 Pillow Block Bearing

These KP08 Pillow Block Bearings are a roller bearing inside an easily mountable bracket. These bearings are compatible with our Lead Screws but could also be used with just about anything else with an 8mm diameter that needs to spin. Two set screws (included) clamp down on the lead screw while two 6mm mounting holes (42mm center to center) hold the bearing in place. If these are being used in a situation where the machine isn’t square, the bearing angle can be adjusted in relation to the mounting block.
