VIU Engineering Bridge Design Contest – Part II

What a great day – students from the VIU First Year Engineering Program were out presenting their bridge projects today. The goal of the project was to build a prototype bridge that would be a suitable replacement for the Portal Rail Bridge spanning the Hackensack River in Northeastern New Jersey. Many of the students have been visiting us over the past few weeks, picking up different parts for their project, so today it was nice to finally see how they used everything to create their bridges.
