Makerspace Nanaimo Update

Over the past two months Makerspace Nanaimo has been evolving at a rapid pace! Large donations of furniture from TD Canada Trust – Terminal Park branch and the Nanaimo office of Timberwest have really helped build up the electronics and programming area in the front of the facility. In addition, members have set up workbenches in the back shops, the 3D printer is up and running, a mini CNC router table is close to fully operational, and a large donation of quality wood has stocked the wood shop to the ceiling (literally!) A lot is happening; if you haven’t been in for a while you are in for a real treat!

Right after this transformation Shaw Television stopped in at Makerspace Nanaimo for a tour. We have the full interview, including our very own Chris Caswell speaking about the Makerspace and the surrounding community.
